Release of father: girl seeks rights bodies’, media’s help

KARACHI (January 06, 2011) : Sharee Baloch – a daughter of a missing person – Wahid Qamber Baloch on Wednesday appealed to rights’ organisations and global media for help to get her father released. Speaking at a press conference at Karachi Press Club, she said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan had ordered release of her father but he is missing from jail for unknown reasons.She requested the Chief Justice to reopen her father’s case, allegedly picked up spy agencies. Sharee further said that court had acquitted her father in a number of “fake” cases against him. “I want to remind Chief Justice of Pakistan of his pledge of June 6, 2009, assuring justice to my father,” she said.A 15-year-old daughter of Baloch nationalist leader Qambar Baloch on Wednesday urged Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motto notice of her father’s continued detention despite the CJP’s orders for his release.Speaking at a news conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC), Shari Baloch said his father was kidnapped on March 14, 2007, by security agencies near their house in Tump town of Turbat district in Balochistan.“He remained missing for 14 months.
