Families of Siddique Edo and Yousaf Nazar Baloch set up hunger strike camp, protest in Panjgur

Occupied Balochistan: The family members of Yousaf Nazar Baloch and Siddique Edo Baloch have established a three-day token hunger strike camp in front of Pasni Press Club. People from various walks of life have visited the camp to show their solidarity with the families of Baloch abducted activists.Speaking to visitors at the camp the family member of Edo Baloch said he is a journalist and a member of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan but the state intelligence agencies cannot even tolerate Baloch Journalists and rights activists. They said it has been over a month since Siddique Baloch was abducted and they still didn’t know about his whereabouts and conditions. The family said if he (Siddique Edo) has done anything unlawful then he should be produced before a court and given the right to defend himself. The family of a Baloch Tailor master, Yousaf Nazar Baloch, has also expressed similar views and said that family was despair due to Mr Baloch’s absence. “We have no clue of Nazar since December last year. We don’t whether he is alive who has he been killed like hundreds of other Baloch political activists”, questioned Yousaf Baloch’s family. The family of Mohammad Siddique Edo (Siddique Edo) has also revealed that has been receiving threats from intelligence agencies in the past. Several times he has been asked to keep silent on the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan. “They registered fake cases against him, they threatened him in different ways but when he refused to ignore the state atrocities against Baloch people, that is why he has been arrested”, the family of Baloch rights activist explained. They said it was a failed attempt by the state to cover its crimes against humanity but in today’s world of information technology and media it is impossible to hide anything because every educated person has become a journalist and a human rights activist, hence, Pakistan should stop covering its crimes by arresting Human rights activists or killing them. Siddique Edo and Yousaf Nazar must be surfaced and produced to a court if they did anything wrong, they demanded.
