Occupied Balochistan: Relatives of enforced disappeared and forced displaced people during dictator Musharraf’s reign from Kohistan Marri have termed the statement of Balochistan High Court chief justice an insult to the families of disappeared Baloch political activists. The chief justice Qazi Faez Isa, during a visit to chaman city of Balochistan has told the reporter that “most of the forcefully disappeared persons from Balochistan have been recovered”. However, the family of Baloch illegally detained people say that the chief justice knows too well that the intelligence agencies of Pakistan are responsible for the abductions of their loved ones. They further said “Chief justice cannot question the notorious ISI, MI and other intelligence agencies and he is completely helpless before these powers. He doesn’t have any right to protect these savage forces by saying that no one was in their custody. Rehman Malik, IG FC (Inspector General Frontier Corps) and even more loyal chief minister and governor are already representing and protecting the Punjabi death squads in Balochstan”. Why can’t the chief justice see the bullet riddled bodies of Baloch youth being dump across Balochistan on regular basis? The entire machinery of the state including the chief justice have sewed their lips and close their eyes to the under-custody killings of Baloch youth by Pakistan security forces and intelligence agencies. We challenge anyone to provide evidence on a single person that has been freed from the yoke of Intelligence agencies by Balochistan high court. In fact Balochistan high court has even kept silence on the abduction and killing of renowned Baloch lawyers Zaman Khan Marri and Ali Sher Kurd Baloch.Asian Human Rights Commission in its latest report has clearly stated that on several occasion the heads of Pakistani intelligence agencies have admitted that missing persons were in their custody but the courts have failed take action and recover those people from the custody of notorious agencies. As a matter of fact the Army is not answerable to anyone in Pakistan including the so called democratically elected government and the judiciary. The relatives of Baloch missing person said that “We are well aware that chief justice has issue the statement under the guidance of the intelligence agencies”. They further said that they have no faith in so called Joint Investigation Team, Judicial Commission and registering of FIRs in police stations because these are way and methods to delay the issue of Baloch disappeared person and increase the period of under-custody killings of Baloch youth; that is why instead of knocking at the doors of impotent state departments, they said, “we are mentally prepared to receive the dead bodies of our loved one”. In the end the relatives of Baloch disappeared persons appealed the UN, EU, Red Cross (International), Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Asian Human Rights Commission and other Organisations that working against enforced-disappearances around the world to play their role for the early and safe recovery of Baloch missing persons.
