Occupied Balochistan: One of the missing lawyers Agha Zahir Shah had reached home here in the early hours of Saturday. His whereabouts could not be known for a period of over five months. There is no report about the second missing lawyer, Mir Munir Ahmed Mirwani, who too disappeared from Khuzdar more than a year ago. The lawyers’ community is constantly agitating for immediate and safe recovery of missing lawyers. Agha Zahir Shah Advocate, who was assisting the Balochistan High Court over the cases of Baloch missing persons, went missing on his way from Dera Murad Jamali to Sibi on February 13th, 2011. According to family members, Agha Zahir is not in his complete senses and he was physically very weak presumably given serious shocks to him in captivity. Mr. Dawood Kasi, President of the Balochistan Bar Association, told this scribe that he had developed wild beards, unshaven for long and lost his complete balance. He claimed that he could not talk and did not reply to many questions, Mr. Kasi told newsmen. There is no report that who had kidnapped Agha Zahir, what was the purpose and where he was kept. All the questions are unanswered, Mr. Kasi added. It may be recalled his brother Agha Nadir Shah was also whisked away and he was released after filing a constitutional petition in the High Court. Agha Zahir Shah was kidnapped after his brother was released.
