VBMP appeals nation to join the protest rally on Eid Day

The protest of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons for the recovery of abducted Baloch entered its 1299th day on Saturday. A delegation of civil society members visited the camp to assure their full support to relatives of abducted Baloch and to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons. Talking to the delegation Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, said that, “we along the families and relatives of enforced-disappeared Baloch activists will take out a protest rally at 2:30 pm and demonstrate in front of Quetta Press Club. We will be demanding the immediate release of our loved one.”He appealed the civil society, students and all Baloch living nearby to attend the rally and protest demonstration and show their solidarity with the families of abducted Baloch activists. He said abduction, target killing and under-custody killing of Baloch activists by Pakistan security forces were on rise. He also revealed that, “families of abducted Baloch are receiving constant death threats from Pakistani security agencies and their hired gangs.”While criticising the Pakistani judiciary Qadeer Baloch said that the judiciary was trying to mislead the world in the name of hearing the cases of abducted Baloch. “Despite regular hearings and ample evidence the judiciary have failed to recover the missing Baloch persons. People have been abducted and killed even when the courts were busy hearing the cases of previously abducted persons.”He said the helplessness of the courts proves that the security agencies do not consider themselves accountable to the courts of law. “Muslims around the world will be celebrating Eid but the Baloch mothers, sisters and other relatives will be waiting for the return of their loves ones. On this day we will record our protest and appeal the civilised world, UN and other human rights organisations to play their role for the safe release of abducted Baloch activists.”
