510 were abducted and disappeared by forces. We hold government and agencies responsible for it, says Nasrullah BalochQuetta: The chairman of Voice For Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), Nasrullah Baloch, has said that extra-judicial killings and enforced disappearances have continued in Balochistan in 2013. 510 people were disappeared and 161 were killed and dumped by Pakistani forces. While talking to news men in Quetta press club, Nasurllah Baloch said that forces have not obeyed the orders of Supreme Court and the provincial government’s role has been disappointing with regards to the issue of disappearances by security forces. He said that the Government officials have forgotten their promises they made regarding missing persons. Instead of constraining the powers of agencies the provincial government has started protecting them with Pakistan security ordinance to give more power to agencies. The rights of citizens will be further violated with this ordinance, he added.Mr Nasrullah Baloch said VBMP is a non-political organisation and it is protesting peacefully. The agencies are pressurising us by threatening us to quit our protest. He said on the next day of Long March the personnel of agencies had beaten my brother and they asked him about me and had threatened him for the worse consequences. The Vice Chairman of VBMP Mama Qadeer is also receiving threats. He warned that if any member of VBMP including me is harmed the Government and agencies will be held responsible for that. While answering a question Nasrullah Baloch said we have the complete list of 700 dead bodies and 2780 missing persons. But the number of missing persons is 10 times more then this. People are not registering the cases because of the fear that there loved ones might be killed if they opened their mouth. He said when we submitted our case in Supreme Court in 2012 at least 200 cases of missing persons were registered in court and a commission was formed by Supreme Court for the recovery of disappeared persons. At least 1000 other cases of disappearances were registered by families to the commission.
