Long March of VBMP enters 61st day, Participants reach Bashkhapur

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons long march reaches to BakhshapurThe Baloch march against enforced disappearances entered its 61st day from Quetta via Karachi to Islamabad on Wednesday. They started their walk from Kandhkot on Wednesday morning and reached to Bashkhapur in the evening.Hundreds of Sindhi and Baloch activists including that of JSMM, JSQM Bashir Qureshi, STP, Baloch Community and JST welcome and joined VBMP Long March at different points on the way and at Bakhshapur.Speaking to Sindh local media Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, said that they started their march from Quetta on 27 October 2013 and reached to Karachi after 27 days. Today was 34th day of their march from Karach toward Islamabad. Qadeer Baloch said: “The Pakistani security agencies have been following and threatening the march from since it left from Karachi” adding they were trying to put obstacles on the way of VBMP Long March and wanted to harm the participants. He also said that the Sindh government and police failed to provide security to the Baloch marchers. He said even the Supreme Court had ordered that protection should be given to the march. But Sindh police SHOs, IG and SSP are deliberately ignoring Baloch march.He said the struggle for justice and release of abducted Baloch will continue till Islamabad.Farzana Majeed Baloch, sister of abducted student leader Zakir Majeed Baloch, said that the abducted Baloch were political leaders and activists.She said: “The entire world is watching our protest march and nobody can harm us. Our struggle for our rights will continue. “We are ready to face all difficulties to continue our march with Mama Qadeer Baloch.”After reaching Bakhshapur city Qadeer Baloch thanked nationalist parties and residents of Kandhkot and Bakhshapur for their support and cooperation with #VBMPLongMarch.
