Saravan, (October 30, 222) according to local sources, a Baloch youth named Umid Balochzahi was arrested in Jamia Masjid Noor after Friday prayer by Iranian forces on October 28, 2022, in Saravan, Balochistan. According to sources, the Iranian forces tried to disperse the worshipers by firing at them in the mosque and using tear gas and dozens of worshipers were detained at mosque entrance doors and taken away to an unknown location. Recently, during a peaceful protest against the sexual assault of a 15-year-old Baloch teenage girl by the commander of the Iranian forces in Chabahar. The Iranian security forces indiscriminately fired, killed and injured many Baloch citizens on Friday, September 30, 2022, in the Zahedan capital city of Balochistan. Amnesty International on October 6, 2022, reports say “Iranian security forces unlawfully killed at least 66 people, including children, and injured hundreds of others after firing live ammunition, metal pellets and teargas at protesters, bystanders and worshippers during a violent crackdown after Friday prayers on 30 September in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchistan province. The Amnesty International report further stated, ” Evidence gathered from activists, victims’ families, eyewitness testimonies, and images and videos of the protests suggest the real death toll from Zahedan is likely to be higher.” International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) urges the Iranian authorities to release unlawfully arrested Baloch peaceful protesters from all cities of Balochistan.
