Faezeh Brahoui, a Baloch Girl Imprisoned in Zahedan for Defending Human Rights

Zahedan: according to Rasank’s report, referring to a hearing on the charges against Faezeh Barahui, a Baloch female human rights defender, was held in the second branch of the Revolutionary Court in Zahedan. Faezeh Barahui, a Baloch female human rights defender, has been blamed for gathering and conspiring to act against national security, insulting the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and being involved in propaganda against the regime. She was arrested on 23 September 2022, by Iranian security forces. At the same time, there were nationwide protests in Iran due to the murder of Zina Amini by the Iranian government’s “morality police” and Baloch citizens protests in different cities of Balochistan in reaction to the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl by the police chief of Chahbahar city. According to the report, she had been deprived of having a lawyer, not allowed her family to visit and did not allow her to call her family while she is in custody.
