Karachi – Abdul Hafeez Zehri who was handed over to Pakistan by the United Arab Emirates on January 27th last year after he went missing by the intelligence agencies of the UAE, was released yesterday by a court of justice in Karachi yesterday, however, he was instantly attacked by armed men in front of the Jail gate while he was on his way with his family members to home, which seriously injured him along with other members of his family.
Abdul Hafeez Zahri, a resident of Khuzdar city, was working in Dubai, brought to Karachi a few months to Karachi a few months ago without any charges, and was kept in jail.
When he was released today, his family members were taking him home from the Central Jail, Karachi, when armed men in black uniforms in two white Vigo vehicles suddenly attacked them with gun fire indiscriminately at around 7:00 pm. As a result of this armed attack, Saeeda Hameed, niece of Abdul Hafeez Zahri and the daughter of missing Abdul Hameed Zahri, got injured.
In further details, Saeeda said “Soon after the release order of the court, we left the jail, our uncle Hafeez was with us. However, we were all attacked by people dressed in black uniforms and my uncle got seriously injured. According to the reports, Abdul Hafeez Zahri is in a bad condition and nothing can be said about his family yet, because they are in an atmosphere of great fear.
