Quetta: Nasrullah Baloch, chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), said in his statement that the family members of Bibi Rashida and her husband, Muhammad Rahim, met them and complained that Bibi Rashida was missing from Gashkuri Town Bashir Chowk Quetta on February 3, 2023.
Her husband, Muhammad Rahim, two children and mother-in-law were detained by the Pakistani forces and shifted to an unknown location.
Bibi Rashida’s mother-in-law and children were released on February 5, 2023, but Bibi Rashida and her husband, Muhammad Rahim, are still missing, the family says. They are not being provided any information about Bibi Rashida and her husband. Rashida’s daughter is one and a half years old, and her son is four years old.
Nasrullah Baloch assured them that Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) would make efforts under the country’s laws for the safe recovery of Bibi Rashida and her husband.
The details of the disappearance were also provided by Balochistan’s Home Minister, Mir Zia Longo. The victim’s family went to the Saryab police station. He also met the Superintendent of Police (SP), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Station House Officer (SHO) Saryab. He recorded the statements of the victim’s family.
Nasrullah Baloch said that due to the forced disappearance of Baloch women, hatred against the state and state institutions would increase in the hearts of the people of Balochistan. I appeal to the heads of the government and national institutions to show seriousness and take notice of the forced disappearance of Bibi Rashida and her husband, Muhammad Rahim, and play their role in the safe recovery of Bibi Rashida’s husband if there is any charge against them. Please bring them to the public and present them in court.
