IVBMP, According to reports, on the night of 4 March 2026 at around 12:00 A.M., armed members of an alleged state-backed death squad opened fire on a vehicle in front of the University of Balochistan sub-campus in Kharan, resulting in the death of one lecturer and injuries to another.
The deceased lecturer has been identified as Dilawar Baloch, a resident of Turbat, who was serving as a lecturer at the University of Balochistan sub-campus in Kharan.
The injured lecturer has been identified as Bilal Gichki, a resident of Sarikoran area of Panjgur, who was also working as a lecturer at the University of Balochistan’s sub-campus in Kharan.
According to the report, several teachers in Balochistan have previously been killed by the Pakistani military and its alleged state-supported death squads.
We urge international organizations to raise their voices and take immediate notice of injustices, inhuman acts, and cruelities inflicted upon Baloch youth in Balochistan.
