Lawyers boycott Courts against murder of Bar President

Occupied Balochistan: A complete shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar District on Thursday, condemning the killing of the Balochistan National Party leader and a prominent lawyer on Wednesday. He was gunned down and killed on the spot when he was on his way back home from his office. His daughter also sustained bullet injuries as the unidentified sniper opened fire on him with a criminal intention to kill him. It may be mentioned here that he was former President Balochistan National Party Khuzdar District and President of Jhalawan Bar Association, Advocate Abdul Salam. Members of the local Bar associations in Gwadar, Panjgur, Kalat, Mastung, Turbat and other major townships of Balochistan had boycotted the court proceedings. The strike call was given by Balochistan National Party. All the shops, banks, educational institutions and commercial centres were closed for the day. The routine life was paralyzed and traffic was thin on the main roads in all major townships of the district.
