LAHORE: The Asian Human Rights Commission called for international community’s action over extra-judicial killings and forced disappearances in Balochistan as nine more bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from various areas of the province. The commission said the government of Pakistan and the provincial government of Balochistan were turning a blind eye to the “ongoing slaughter of civilian activists, which is clear evidence of their connivance with the security forces.” It further said that as these official government bodies refuse to take action on forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings, the international community should intervene in the matter. Two missing persons’ bodies were found, which bore torture marks. Two bullet riddled bodies were found from Nushki and identified as those of Mohammad Naheem and Mehboob Baloch. They had been subjected to severe torture. Their family members claim that both youths were abducted by the military and secret agencies.Another bullet riddled body of a Baloch youth was found from the Kappar area of Pasni town, and was identified as Moula Baksh, a resident of Nalent district Gwadar. It was estimated that he had been dead for about three days. The bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch youths were found from Turbat on November 6.The bodies were identified as of Gohram Baloch, a resident of Mand, a former president of the Baloch Republican Party, Mand. The other person was identified as Ayyam, also a resident of Mand. Two bullet-riddled bodies of unidentified persons were recovered from Mastung and Quetta. Levies Force personnel recovered one body from Dasht and moved it to a hospital for autopsy. Police recovered the second body from Sabzal road of Quetta. Police shifted the body to hospital for a postmortem and said that he had been shot dead.
