London : The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons held a protest demonstration at Trafalgar Square London to commemorate the International Day in support of torture victims on Wednesday (26 June 2013).Baloch activists from UK, from pro-freedom Baloch parties, and other human rights activists including members of Nation without States, CAMPACC and London Guantanamo Campaign also join the protest to show their support with victims of torture in Balochistan and around the world. The protesters were carrying pictures of enforced-disappeared Baloch activists, placards and banners – inscribed with slogans against Baloch genocide and Pakistani and Iranian state atrocities in Balochistan. In a press release the International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons said that Pakistan was committing heinous crimes against humanity in Balochistan. “Abduction, kill and dumping policy of Pakistan army is still continuing unabated in Balochistan. Innocent Baloch are being target killed, forcefully disappeared and tortured on regular basis. Hundreds of Baloch have been killed under-custody and thousands are still languishing in secret military torture cells across Pakistan,” the IVBMP said in its statement.The IVBMP further said despite being a member state of the United Nations Pakistan was violating the UN convention against torture. It urged the UN and other International Human Rights Organisations to take notice against Pakistan for violating International Laws and UN conventions. The protesters urged the International Community to take practical action against state atrocities against Baloch people.
