A delegation of lawyers visited the camp on 1st August, to express solidarity with the families.The lawyers said that an application about abductions during Pervaz Musharaf regime is under consideration in Supreme Court. Recently the case of Zakir Majeed was discussed in the Court.The mother of Zakir Majeed told the delegation that we do not trust in any so-called commission, task force or any other organization of Central Investigation Department. These all organizations do nothing but repeat the mantra of ISI, MI and FC.She said that recently an inquiry committee of CID visited Khuzdar to investigate about Zakir Majeed’s abduction and later they submitted a concocted report in the High Court that my son has left for foreign countries. Everyone knows that Zakir Majeed was abducted near Mastung in front of his friends on 8 June 2009. His friends have presented witness accounts in front of High Court, Supreme Court and all other commissions. Zakir’s sister has continuously appeared before the courts for his safe release.“The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed Chahudary, has ordered the security forces to immediately present Zakir Majeed before the court. But the security forces excused themselves. When Chief Justice started hearing the cases about missing persons, it irked the security forces and they arrested the police officers involved,” she said.The mother of Zakir Majeed said that my son was only educating other oppressed youth about their rights and he was abducted and the kidnappers did not even asked for extortion money.She pleaded that the judiciary, civil society and the international community should play their role so that the oppressors have no choice but to resurface Zakir Majeed.
