The family of Baloch revolutionary singer Mr Hameed Sharif has said Sunday that he has not been abducted. Some people on social media have spread rumours about his arrest which is not true. Earlier social media activists had reported that Mr Sharif has been abducted by Pakistani security forces while he was returning from Iranian occupied Balochistan. In 2010 the Pakistani security forces had seized an album of Hameed Sharif and confiscated it. Several Baloch poets and singers were arrested in the past and their bodies were found later. Some Baloch singers were detained for several months and acid were poured down their throats making them unable to sing again.
