Since Musharaf’s regime from 12 October 1999, following a non violent military conquest; ironically claiming to reform the political, economic and electoral systems ,till 18 august 2008 the day he resigned ,around 8000 Baloch were being abducted for uncommitted crimes. Innumerable grand military search operations were instigated throughout Balochistan, especially tribal areas. In these operation not only man were abducted but women and kids were abducted too. They were taken away from their homes for unattached crime .Militants involved in theses search operations may with “color fairer”, paint the “foul ends” of abducting Baloch youth portraying them as miscreants, but how would they paint abduction of innocent kids and women. Along with these grand search operations several other Baloch were abducted from different cities of Balochistan including students, labor, political activists and many more from different fields of life. How was their fate written by the abductor is unknown, there where about are mysterious till this day.
on 18th Feb 2008 general election was held, so called democracy restored and PPP emerged victorious. We have a rubber stamp, puppet parliamentarians and so called shift from dictatorship to democracy. Yet, of no good to Baloch, as the abduction and detention of innocent Balochs sustained. More enforced disappearances made by ISI,MI and FC. Establishment in this country is above all; they are answerable to no one, neither judiciary, nor parliament, nor media, nor to public. They are pharaoh, and Baloch are eagerly waiting for Moses to come and let them get rid of it.
The true figure of abducted Balochs is disputed till this day, as one comes with figure of 8000, other would come with figure of 800 and yet those reported in UN are no more than 80.Central leader of BRP in a press conference at Karachi claimed; “8,000 Baloch political workers were still missing across the Balochistan,”. “ Salal baloch observes; “Baloch political parties and relatives of abducted Baloch person allege that more than 8,000 Baloch have been picked up and disappeared by Pakistani intelligence forces since the Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf declared an all out war against Baloch people, after he took over through an illegal military cope.”According to a list given by Baloch voice; “406 names are only of Marri Baloch men, women and children abducted by Pakistani army while military operation, killing, abduction and displacement -continue not only in Kohistan Marri but all over Balochistan”.Yet in the most recent list of disappeared Balochs published by “Baloch Unity Conference”, Karachi. from 2000 till April 2010.there is a list of 1101 Baloch reported as still missing.
This all goes with enforced disappearance of Baloch, their detention for unknown and uncommitted crime and the abductors answerable to no one. The most tragic, miserable, agonizing part of this abduction or this series of suppressing Baloch is recovery of bullet riddled bodies of missing Balochs, murdered in identical manner.This series of restraint through murdering political leaders after abducting them generally started on 8th of April 2009 with murder of three renowned political activists, Ghulam Muhamad, Lala Muneer and Sher Muhammad.
According to New York Times report “Three local political leaders were seized from a small legal office here in April, handcuffed, blindfolded and hustled into a waiting pickup truck in front of their lawyer and neighboring shopkeepers. Their bodies, riddled with bullets and badly decomposed in the scorching heat, were found in a date palm grove five days later. Local residents are convinced that the killings were the work of the Pakistani intelligence agencies”. Abdul Wahab in his article “Invisible Hands” reports that, “After the PPP assumed power, the dead bodies of five missing persons belonging to the Bugti tribe, who had been killed in early 2009, were discovered – three bodies were found in the Khanozai area of district Pishin (some 60 kilometers in the north east of Quetta), while the other two were recovered from Gori, an area close to the Pak-Afghan border in the Nushki district”..
According to the most recent report published in express tribune by shazad baloch on oct 4 “Twenty-one bullet-riddled bodies of missing persons, including two lawyers, have so far been found from different areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Mastung and Khuzdar since July 4, 2010. Invariably, all victims were Baloch and were killed in a similar manner.” He further observes; “The victims were shot in the forehead and a bullet passed through the skull besides signs of torture on their faces, hands and other parts of their bodies. Their hands were also tied to the back of their body with ropes.”
Nasruallah Baloch chairman of VBMP a local NGO claimed that “so far 31 bullet-riddled bodies had been recovered, while 10 bodies remain unidentified”. It’s evident from this that the elected government even couldn’t bring any change to it and couldn’t stop it from happening any more. As these episodes of vicious murder of Balochs continues while nominated government is ruling .This stroke of tyrants is to threaten the people fighting for there rights, but it hasn’t decreased the intensity of struggle for a separate state but has made it more obvious. It has made Baloch more violent, and has grown there hatred and fury against the tyrants to its apex. Baloch and sensible people from every field of life adore ISI, MI, FC, secret agencies, judiciary, rubber stamp parliamentarians and every individual that is involve in killing of missing Balochs directly or indirectly.
This current brutal act of murdering missing Balochs can be excused on no ground, neither ethical, nor spiritual. Even if an enemy is to be killed is killed on the philosophy of tit for tat, as an eye for eye, nose for nose, and ear for ear and so on. But murdering an innocent Baloch, torturing him to death, by hammering nails in his head, burning the body parts, throwing acid, chemically aided decomposition ,dishonoring them one way or the other is excused no way. It is the most inhuman, unlawful and bestial action of those brutes who are involve in doing it.Calling them brute is even undeserving, as brutes have some rules. If they kill an animal to get food they kill one or two to fill their belly with and when it’s done they wouldn’t kill a single more soul for this purpose. Similarly they kill other animal when they are in danger from them, that to in a limit not that they kill whole group of its enemy. Appetite of these so called human a tinge on face of humanity is growing more and more by killing a fellow, nothings prompts them from doing it neither the religious teaching, nor ethics, nor there conscience, nor the kindness and care ALLAH has put in all humans for other human, nor the cries of families they demolish.
Here a question crop up in ones mind is where are those so called national and international human rights organization and human right bodies, Including Amnesty International, Human Right Watch, HRCP, WGEID etc, Whose aim is “to promote a number of human, civil, economic and social rights, asserting these rights are part of the “foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.”. I wonder if Baloch are considered human or no, if fortunately they are then why they are not favored by these organization, as nothing practical and fruitful has been done by them so far to stop illegal abduction and inhuman murder of abducted Baloch.
The number of killing is increasing day by day and has reached a frightening figure. They have got the authority to stop this illegal detention and in human murder, but are acting as spectator, seldom holding a meeting, convention or seminar. Celebrating “International Day in Support of Victims of Torture”, “international day of disappeared” in vain, as while in one corner of the world these days are organized on the other corner of the world an innocent Baloch is abducted by agencies or a bullet riddled body of an abducted Baloch is found. I wonder how to name them, a silent spectator, or a partner of those murderers.A human killing other innocent human or witnessing the act of murder silently, as deaf, dumb and blind, are worthless of any title. Calling them human in itself as an insult of humanity, while calling them brute sounds like insulting brutes, one has any title suitable for them please suggest , as I am here not capable of creating a title like that of yahoo as swift did, but hope there are Jonathan Swift around to create a title for such inhuman man.
