Asim Kareem Baloch was a Diploma student in electrical engineering in Multan Punjab. On 21 October 2010 Pakistani forces abducted his brother Tariq Kareem Baloch from Karachi. After hearing the news of his brother’s abduction Asim Kareem Baloch came back to Balochistan and on 26 October 2010, he held a Press conference at Quetta Press Club to appeal for his brother’s release.

On 29 October he travelled to Khuzdar city of Balochistan to attend the marriage ceremony of a close relative. On 30 October Pakistani forces attached his relative’s houses and opened indiscriminate firing due to which Asim Kareem was wounded and Pakistani forces arrested him. The next day on 31 October 2010 his dead body was found in Khanozai area of district Loralai Balochistan.

According to eye-witnesses account, there were signs of a rope around his neck, bullet wounds on his legs and upper torso. He was shot dead from close range.
