IVBMP, Reports indicate that a Baloch citizen has been held in detention by Iranian security forces for more than 35 days following his arrest in Chabahar, and his family remains deeply concerned about his safety and whereabouts.
According to information from advocacy sources, on Wednesday, February 1, 2026, Alam Azizi, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Azizabad in Qasr-e Qand and Chabahar, was at his private home when Iranian security forces raided the residence. He was taken into custody without a judicial warrant and has since not been heard from directly by his family.
After days of silence, the family was informed that he had been moved from Chabahar to Zahedan, but no official charges, legal explanation, or information regarding his condition have been provided to the family. His relatives say they do not know what he is accused of or whether he has access to legal representation.
His family has appealed to higher authorities and human rights organizations to speak out about his case and help secure information about his safety and release. The prolonged uncertainty and lack of transparency in his detention have heightened their concern.
