Another Baloch Youth Extrajudicially Killed Following Enforced Disappearance by Pakistani Forces:

23

June 18, 2026: The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) expresses its profound grief and strongest condemnation over the extrajudicial killing of 22-year-old Mujahid Baloch, whose bullet-riddled body was recovered today from the Chakkol area on the outskirts of Panjgur, Balochistan.
According to local authorities, the body bore multiple gunshot wounds and was moved to the Teaching Hospital Panjgur, where it was later identified as Mujahid, son of Habib. A resident of Parom tehsil, Mujahid worked as a driver to support his family.
Mujahid had been missing since the night of June 5, 2026, when he was forcibly disappeared from the C-PEC Road in the Sarsand area of Panjgur. Eyewitnesses and family members maintain that he was taken into custody by Pakistani state forces. For eleven days, his family received no information regarding his whereabouts or legal status, despite repeated appeals to human rights organizations and local authorities.
This tragic incident highlights a deeply disturbing and ongoing pattern in Balochistan: the practice of “kill-and-dump,” where individuals who are subjected to enforced disappearances are later found dead under mysterious and violent circumstances, bypassing any judicial process.
The IVBMP calls upon the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), Amnesty International, and the wider international community to urgently intervene. We demand an independent, transparent investigation into the enforced disappearance and subsequent summary execution of Mujahid Baloch, and call for accountability for those responsible.
The culture of impunity surrounding enforced disappearances in Balochistan must end immediately, and the basic human rights of the Baloch people must be protected under international law.
