The IVBMP expresses grave concern regarding the ongoing enforced disappearance of 23-year-old Hamidullah Mazari, a Baloch resident of Sherabad, Zahedan.
Hamidullah was abducted by plainclothes Iranian intelligence agents on June 1, 2026, from Azad Street. Despite 22 days having passed, the Zahedan Intelligence Bureau has cut off all contact between him and the outside world, refusing to disclose his whereabouts, the charges against him, or allow his family to see him. His family remains in a state of extreme distress, having received no official information or response to their repeated inquiries.
The systematic raiding of Sherabad by Iranian security forces conducted without judicial warrants to instill terror and abduct civilians is a flagrant violation of international human rights law.
The IVBMP calls for the immediate disclosure of Hamidullah Mazari’s location and his unconditional release. We urge international human rights bodies to demand an end to these arbitrary abductions and the climate of impunity maintained by Iranian security forces in Balochistan
