Another Mutilated Body of Forcibly Disappeared Baloch Fisherman Peeri Assa Dumped After Six Months

GWADAR, Balochistan :
In another harrowing execution of the state’s infamous “kill-and-dump” policy, the body of a 28-year-old Baloch fisherman, Peeri Assa, was found dumped on July 4, 2026, following six months of secret detention and torture.
Peeri Assa, a resident of Rober Jiwani, Gwadar, was forcefully abducted from his home during a late-night raid by Pakistani forces on January 6, 2026. For nearly half a year, he was held in missing status, cut off from his family and any legal process. When his body was finally recovered, it bore severe visible injuries and signs of extreme physical violence inflicted inside security and intelligence detention cells.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) emphasizes that Peeri Assa’s case is part of a deliberate pattern where forcibly disappeared Baloch civilians are tortured in isolation, executed in staged encounters, and dumped like trash to terrorize the local population.

The IVBMP strongly condemns this barbaric custodial murder, which constitutes a grave violation of the right to life, due process, and absolute freedom from torture. The organization urgently appeals to the United Nations, human rights watchdogs, and global democratic bodies to take definitive notice of the atrocities in Balochistan and demand strict accountability to halt these systemic crimes against humanity.
