Forcibly Disappeared School Principal Extrajudicially Killed and Dumped

GWADAR, Balochistan : In a deeply tragic development exposing a continuous cycle of state violence, Muhammad Abdul Haq, a respected teacher and school principal, has been extrajudicially killed in custody after six months of enforced disappearance.
Muhammad Abdul Haq, son of Muhammad Murad and a resident of Mondi, Gwadar, was forcibly abducted from his home by Pakistani forces during a raid on January 24, 2026. Despite government officials repeatedly giving false assurances to his family that he would be safely released, his body was dumped on July 4, 2026, alongside four other previously disappeared individuals. His custodial execution followed a recent bombing in Jiwani, highlighting the recurring practice of executing pre-detained Baloch civilians and falsely labeling them as active militants to cover up security failures.
Abdul Haq was also the uncle of Ali Haider, who made headlines as a child in 2013 by walking from Karachi to Islamabad to demand the recovery of his own missing father, Muhammad Ramazan. Sixteen years after his brother’s disappearance, Abdul Haq who raised his brother’s children has now also been taken from his family forever.

The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns this horrific practice of custodial executions and collective punishment. The IVBMP urgently appeals to the United Nations, global human rights watchdogs, and international democratic entities to act immediately. The international community must break its silence, demand strict accountability, and take definitive measures to end the crisis of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial murders in Balochistan.
