IVBMP, A 20-year-old Baloch man has reportedly died in the custody of Iran’s Intelligence Department in Mehristan, with family members alleging that he was subjected to torture.
According to the reports, the incident occurred on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Intelligence Department’s detention facility in Mehristan.
The victim has been identified as Abdullah Parki, son of Mohammad Bakhsh, a resident of the village of Sheib and Shouran in Kant.
Family members state that Abdullah was arrested on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, by Intelligence Department forces in Mehristan. He was reportedly detained in front of a construction materials shop and subsequently transferred to the agency’s detention center. Relatives claim that he was held incommunicado for two days, during which security officials refused to provide any information about his condition.
On Thursday, February 19, authorities contacted the family to inform them of his death. According to relatives, when they went to the Intelligence Department office in Mehristan, they were met with harsh treatment and alleged threats.
Sources familiar with the case report that Abdullah’s body bore signs of physical injury, including fractures and burn marks. They claim that he sustained fractures to his mouth, teeth, and legs, and allege that he died as a result of severe beatings while in detention.
As of now, judicial and security authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the allegations surrounding Abdullah Parki’s death in custody.
