IVBMP, On 29th December 2025, the Pakistani forces Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) abducted and forcibly disappeared 24 year old student Hamdan, son of Mohammad Ali, a resident of Old Golimar, Karachi.

After 50 days in custody, on 17th February 2026, the CTD announced that Hamdan was among several individuals killed during an armed encounter in Shah Latif Town, Karachi. Authorities claimed that the deceased were militants who died in an exchange of fire. However, Hamdan had already been in the custody of Pakistani forces since his abduction in December 2025.
