VBMP Long March reaches Okara

The long march of voice of Baloch missing persons for the recovery of abducted Baloch has yesterday reached Okara.Earlier despite of heavy rain and wind the long marchers continued their march to reach Sahiwal, where human rights workers and social associations welcomed them.The walk for justice is continuing for last 84 days. Which has set a record in south Asia for the longest march for human rights.Qadeer Baloch who is leading the march his son was abducted and killed by Pakistani forces in 2011, since then Qadeer Baloch is struggling for the recovery of thousands of Baloch abducted men. This long march was started by VBMP from Quetta in the end of October last year and it reached Karachi in November 2013. After a short rest the VBMP again continued its march toward Islamabad where the participants after reaching are going to protest in front of the UN office.As the long march continued towards Islamabad, three mass graves of Baloch abducted persons were discovered in Balochistan in Tootak area, where more than 150 Baloch abducted persons were killed and buried. The identities of deceased are yet to be identified. The families have also appealed UN to send its fact-finding missions and take notice of mass graves. However the UN and international community so far have been silent over the issue.
