Canada: Vancouver, ( March 5, 2014) International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons Canada (IVBMP) a day of successful human rights awareness campaign at University of British Columbia, Canada. Baloch human rights activists provided information about the grave human rights situation of Balochistan to the public, students and a number of members of academia in a University of British Columbia (UBC). Participants keen to know further about human rights violations and history of Balochistan admitted that they had little knowledge of state repression against Baloch people.Students and academia have gone through graphic images of Baloch activists whom were extra judicially killed by Pakistani security forces and executed by fanatic Iranian regime. Participants read short stories about the pain behind about 3000 Kilometre marcher, including 9 years old Beauragh Baloch, 11 years old Ali Haider Baloch, Banok Farzana Majeed Baloch, Banok Zarina Baloch, Banok Simi Baloch, Banok Hani Baloch. The visiters were also shocked to read the grisly details of recently discovered three Mass Graves Tootak area of Khuzdar, Balochistan. Many participants knowing the grave human rights situation in Balochistan said: “what can we do for you?” They are also curious to know why the Canadian media national media such as CBC and CTV were not reporting these violations of human right in Balochistan. Several people expressed their sympathies and wanted to do more work and research in Balochistan issue. A Canadian student also said he was interested in writing a research paper. An academia wanted to do more research to know about Baloch and Balochistan by taking in depth information from Baloch activists. A human rights defender said, he will write a letter to the United Nations. A Sikh Punjabi student said, he will spread the word among the South Asian Community. An Iranian student went through the graphic images and said was ashamed to see such injustices being done against Baloch and all Iranians minorities by theocratic regimes of Iran. Pakistani students went through the graphic images and asked for more information. He honestly admitted unless the United Nations and International Community do not keep pressure on Pakistani government it will not stop the abductions and killing of Baloch people. He also admitted say that: “Perhaps Pakistan did not learn from its dark history of 1971 genocide of Bengalis.” Some students asked Baloch human rights activists to do another awareness campaign in University of British Columbia. International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons Canada ( IVBMP) deeply appreciated University of British Columbia students, academia and public for supporting Voice for Baloch Missing Persons ( VBMP) victims of abducted Baloch families who marched more than 2500 Kilometres from Quetta capital city of Balochistan to Islamabad capital city of Pakistan solely for the release of their loved ones. They are now seeking justice from the United Nations and International Community because Pakistan’s judiciary and civilian governments for many years let them down. Pakistan’s judiciary and civilian government appear powerless in front of Pakistani Army and its notorious Inter-Services Intelligence (I.S.I)
