PANJGUR, Balochistan — A 23-year-old university student has been forcibly disappeared from the campus of a university in Panjgur.
The student, identified as Zahid Baloch, son of Khuda Dost, was detained by paramilitary personnel from the Frontier Corps (FC) on June 10, 2026. Eyewitness accounts indicate that security forces entered the university premises in Panjgur city, took him into custody, and moved him to an undisclosed location.
Zahid Baloch, a resident of the Chitkan area in Panjgur, has been missing since the afternoon of the raid. Local authorities have not provided any information regarding his detention, nor have any formal charges been registered against him.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) has expressed deep concern over the pattern of targeting and disappearing Baloch students directly from educational institutions. The organization has called upon international human rights bodies to demand his immediate safe recovery and an end to arbitrary state detentions inside campus facilities.
