SIB AND SURAN, Balochistan — Serious concerns have been raised over the suspected enforced disappearance of a 32-year-old Baloch youth from the city of Sib and Suran in Western Balochistan.
The individual, identified as Ali Dahani, son of Tahir, went missing on the evening of Saturday, June 20, 2026, after leaving his residence. According to his relatives, his mobile phone initially rang without an answer before being permanently switched off.
His family is in a state of severe distress, expressing grave concern that he has been arbitrarily detained and moved to an undisclosed location by Iranian government forces or armed operatives linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) expresses deep concern over the incident, highlighting the ongoing pattern of arbitrary detentions targeting Baloch youths in the region. The organization urges international human rights bodies to take immediate notice, demand transparency regarding Dahani’s safety, and ensure his swift recovery.
