IVBMP Condemns Brutal Killing of Enforced Disappearance Victim Habibullah in Panjgur; Demands Urgent UN Intervention

23

The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns the extrajudicial killing and desecration of the body of Habibullah, son of Ahmad, whose mutilated remains were recovered from the Panjgur district of Balochistan on June 16, 2026.
According to local reports, the deceased was identified by his family, who stated that Habibullah had been forcibly disappeared on September 24, 2025, while working on his agricultural land. The family has alleged that Pakistani intelligence agencies were behind his initial abduction and subsequent custody, which culminated in the recovery of his tortured body yesterday.

The discovery of Habibullah’s mutilated body is yet another harrowing reminder of the ‘kill-and-dump’ policy being executed with impunity in Balochistan.
This inhumane act violates the most fundamental right to life and dignity, shattering international legal frameworks.

The IVBMP urges the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) and the UN Working Group to initiate an immediate, independent, and transparent inquiry into the ongoing human rights violations and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.
State actors and state-sponsored groups responsible for the abduction, torture, and murder of Baloch citizens must be held accountable under international humanitarian law.

The IVBMP makes a solemn appeal to the international community, global leaders, humanitarian organizations, and human rights activists worldwide.
We urge you to raise your voices against these severe human rights violations and show meaningful solidarity with the families of the victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Silence in the face of such systematic oppression only emboldens the perpetrators. The global community must act now to stop the ongoing genocide of the Baloch people.
