IVBMP CONDEMNS IRANIAN MILITARY RAID ON BALOCH MINING PROTESTERS;

15

The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns the recent violent crackdown and arbitrary detentions carried out by Iranian military forces against peaceful Baloch civilian protesters in Iranian occupied Balochistan .
Reports from local observers confirm that on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Iranian military forces launched a brutal raid on a peaceful protest organized by indigenous Baloch residents in Pashmouki village, located in Faryab county, Kerman province. The locals had gathered to protest the exploitative allocation and management of the local chromite mine, demanding accountability for being systematically deprived of their ancestral land’s natural resources.
During the assault, Iranian military forces used batons, fists, and physical violence to disperse the crowd, targeting indigenous women and elderly residents.

IVBMP has received verified details concerning the identities of six Baloch citizens who were violently arrested and transferred to an unknown location by Iranian security forces. Among those detained are three women. Their families have been denied any information regarding their safety, condition, or whereabouts, raising immediate fears of enforced disappearance.
Detained by Iranian Forces:
Marziyeh Hoth (28)
Mah-Bibi Hoth(37)
Somayeh Bamri (32)
Ali-Bakhsh Bamri (46)
Reza Beig-Bamri (43)
Anwar Hoth (40)
Additionally, at least seven Baloch women sustained severe physical injuries during the military assault:
Soraya Hoth(29)
Masoomeh Hoth (27)
Mina Hoth(17)
Dorkhatoon Hoth (36)
Safiyeh Bamri (30)
Mahnoor Bamri (34)
Bibi-Naz Bamri (40)
This violent incident occurred less than 24 hours after a similar assault by Iranian forces in Sarsiah village, Taftan county. There, Baloch women protesting against the operations of the Taftan gold mine were subjected to severe threats and physical abuse, leaving 55-year-old Bibi-Noor Rigi Koteh with critical head injuries after being struck with a military rifle butt.

The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons vehemently condemns this inhuman act of state-sponsored violence against unarmed civilians. The deliberate targeting, beating, and secret detention of Baloch women protesting for their basic economic and land rights highlights the deeply entrenched systemic discrimination faced by Baloch citizens under the Iranian government.

We call upon the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iranian Occupied Balochistan to urgently intervene.

A fair, transparent, and international investigation must be launched into the continuous human rights violations, land grabbing, and economic exploitation in Balochistan.
The Iranian government must immediately disclose the location of all detainees, grant them access to legal representation and medical care, and hold the military personnel responsible for these violent assaults accountable.

IVBMP urgently appeals to international human rights organizations, civil society groups, and global activists to raise their voices against the escalating oppression of the Baloch people. The international community cannot remain silent while indigenous communities are brutalized, silenced, and disappeared for defending their lives and resources.
