Another Baloch Youth Enforcedly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces in Jiwani— June 19, 2026: In a continuing wave of state-sponsored crackdowns in Balochistan, Pakistani security forces have abducted and enforcedly disappeared another Baloch youth from the Panwan area of Jiwani, a coastal town in the Gwadar district.According to reports received by the International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP), the incident took place on the night of June 18, 2026. Local sources confirmed that security personnel raided a location in Panwan, taking a young man into custody before moving him to an undisclosed location. The victim has been identified as Anees, son of Ghulam, a resident of the area.As with the vast majority of enforced disappearances in the region, the family has not been informed of any legal charges against Anees, nor has he been presented before any court of law. His current whereabouts and well-being remain entirely unknown, raising severe concerns among his family and human rights defenders regarding his safety under state custody. The practice of enforced disappearances has long been used as a tool of collective punishment and intimidation against the Baloch population. IVBMP strongly condemns this latest abduction and urges international human rights organizations, including the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) and Amnesty International, to hold the Pakistani state accountable for its ongoing violations of international humanitarian law in Balochistan.
