15-Year-Old Sher Zaman Enforcedly Disappeared from Quetta by State Forces

— In a concerning escalation of state-sponsored abductions, a 15-year-old minor was forcibly to disappeared from the capital of Balochistan.

The youth, identified as Sher Zaman, son of Abdul Samad, was abducted on the evening of June 17, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM. According to eyewitness accounts and local monitoring reports, security personnel associated with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) raided his workplace a tailor shop located on Killi Almas Airport Road in Quetta and took him into custody.
Zaman, a resident of the same area who worked as a master tailor despite his young age, has not been heard from since. No official charges have been filed, and his whereabouts remain entirely unknown.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) has expressed deep concern over the continuous targeting of Baloch youth and minors, noting that taking a child from his workplace constitutes a severe violation of international human rights conventions and child protection laws. The organization urges international human rights bodies to intervene immediately and demand the safe release of the teenager.
