The state forces of Iran forcibly disappeared two innocent Baloch brothers, Esfandiar Salahzei and Javeed Salahzei, sons of Lal Bakhsh, leaving their family in profound distress with no information regarding their well-being. On June 29, 2026, state military forces aggressively assaulted both brothers at a gas station in Nikshahr in front of their wives and young children, severely beating them before dragging them to an undisclosed location. Native to the village of Rowng in Nikshahr, the brothers were subjected to heavy pressure and forced confessions under coercion regarding fabricated theft charges, which their family vehemently denies. Following three weeks of incommunicado detention, state enforcement authorities transferred both innocent citizens from Chabahar to Zahedan on July 19, 2026, extending their arbitrary custody while refusing to provide legal transparency, formal documentation, or reasonable explanation for their detention. Furthermore, state troops confiscated their personal vehicle, mobile phones, and private belongings during the violent raid. International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons urgently appeals to the United Nations, global human rights organizations, and the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances to intervene immediately, demand the safe release of Esfandiar and Javeed Salahzei, and hold the state of Iran accountable for relentless human rights violations against the Baloch people.
