GWADAR, Balochistan :A young Baloch man, Idris Rahmat, was arrested and forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from his residence in the New Town area of Gwadar late last night on July 1, 2026.
Since his arbitrary arrest, authorities have neither presented him before any court of law nor provided his distressed family with any information regarding his whereabouts or legal status. The family has issued an urgent public appeal for his safety and immediate recovery.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns this late-night abduction and the continuous targeting of Baloch youth. The IVBMP urgently appeals to the United Nations, Amnesty International, and the global democratic community to intervene, hold state authorities accountable, and apply diplomatic pressure to ensure the immediate disclosure and safe release of Idris Rahmat.
