Four Baloch Citizens Shot Dead by Iranian Ranger Forces in Shahroud Desert: Serious Human Rights Violations

28

SHAHROUD, Iran: In a severe violation of the right to life and legal due process, four Baloch citizens were extrajudicially killed after Iranian Command Ranger units from the Semnan Province opened fire on their vehicle.
The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2026, as the victims were traveling through the Shahroud Desert area. According to local witnesses, the state forces opened lethal fire arbitrarily on the vehicle without any prior warning or stop signal, killing all four occupants on the spot. The victims have been identified as:
Jamshid Alizehi (21), son of Shah Nazar, who leaves behind a wife and a young child.
Abdul Rahman Qanbarzehi (45), a married man and a father to his children.
Tayyab Qanbarzehi (29), son of Abdul Khaliq.
Eido Qanbarzehi (51), son of Dur Muhammad. All four individuals were residents of the Cheshmeh Ziyarat area in Zahedan, Balochistan.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns this brutal act, highlighting it as part of a persistent pattern of systemic violence and state-sanctioned human rights abuses targeting the Baloch population. We urgently appeal to the United Nations and global human rights watchdogs to investigate these lawless killings and hold Iran accountable for its gross violations of international law.
