17-Year-Old Baloch Youth Remains Missing 57 Days After Detention by Iranian Security Forces

FANUJ, Balochistan — Serious concerns have been raised over the ongoing enforced disappearance of a 17-year-old youth, Ali Raeisi, who was detained by Iranian security forces nearly two months ago.
According to verified reports, Raeisi was arrested on April 8, 2026, in the city of Fanuj and subsequently transferred to Pahrah (Iranshahr). Fifty-seven days after his initial detention, state authorities have released no official information regarding his legal status, the charges against him, or his exact place of confinement.
The prolonged lack of transparency and communication has left his family in severe uncertainty regarding his health and well-being.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) strongly condemns the prolonged arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance of minors. The organization calls on international human rights bodies and child protection advocates to urgently intervene, demand immediate clarification on his legal status, and ensure his safe return to his family.
