ZAMMURAN, Balochistan: The family of Liaqat Baloch, a resident of Newano Zammuran, has issued an urgent public appeal following his prolonged enforced disappearance, which began on August 27, 2025.
For nearly a year, his family has been subjected to severe mental agony, uncertainty, and constant anxiety. Despite the long passage of time, state authorities have failed to provide any credible information regarding his whereabouts or legal status, further deepening the family’s distress.
The family urges that if Liaqat Baloch is under the custody of state institutions, his safety must be guaranteed, and he must be granted immediate access to his family and legal counsel.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (IVBMP) stands with the aggrieved family and appeals to the United Nations, human rights organizations, journalists, and global democratic bodies to forcefully raise their voices against this illegal detention. The IVBMP calls for immediate international pressure on state authorities to ensure the safe recovery and unconditional release of Liaqat Baloch.
