EXTRAJUDICIAL EXECUTION OF MAJID ALI AFTER 14 MONTHS OF ENFORCED DISAPPEARANCE

26

The Pakistani state forces have extrajudicially executed Majid Ali, an innocent citizen and son of Sajid Ali, resident of Pasni, following over 14 months of prolonged enforced disappearance. Originally abducted on May 7, 2025, from his petrol station in Pasni by Pakistani security forces, his fate and whereabouts were deliberately concealed from his family throughout his prolonged, torturous detention. His dead body was recovered in the Chibwari Talar area of Kulanch, Gwadar district, with a handwritten note in his pocket identifying him as Majid Ali from Pasni. This horrifying act reflects the continuing state policy of extrajudicial killings, where innocent civilians are subjected to secret, illegal custody and later murdered without due process.
The International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons continues to raise its voice for innocent civilians suffering under systemic state suppression across Balochistan. We urgently appeal to the international community, human rights organizations, the United Nations, and the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances to take immediate, concrete action against ongoing enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. Global authorities must hold the state accountable for its severe human rights violations, establish independent international investigations, and secure the safe, immediate release of all forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals.
