A Mother’s Bemoan: An open letter to Human Rights Organisations and Media

“Honorable citizens

“My son Aziz Khan s/o Haidar Marri on 31 July 2012 was going to Barkhan from Quetta. The passenger wagon on rout of Barkan when reached at Sanjavi point then Pakistani security agency official stopped it and unloaded four persons including my son Aziz Khan accompanied by Akbar Marri,Sher Mohammad Marri ,and Raheem Marri. They were shifted to an undisclosed location however the following night except my son all other three men were released in Loralai city. I have never heard of my son since he was abducted and I fear that my son might also be killed and dumped like hundreds of other Baloch activists – if immediate action is not taken.

“Honorable Media person and rights groups

“We have no affiliation with any political party and other group we are peaceful inhabitant of New Kahan, a Marri Baloch populated area in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta, Balochistan. Aziz Khan is sole earner for our entire family; we are left stranded after his abduction and facing many difficulties. I know my son has been abducted by none other than the state security officials and I am worried they may harm him while in their custody. I appeal to Supreme Court of Pakistan, Balochistan high court and International Human Rights Organization for immediate action regarding safe release of my son and other abducted Baloch persons.

Thanks

A grieved mother from New Kahan, Quetta”

I translated her letter because she is not the only mother who is knocking each door for her son’s safe release, but there are hundreds of such mothers, sisters and wife, fathers, sons and daughters in Balochistan who are worried about their loved ones. Their loved ones are in the custody of Pakistani intelligence agencies, FC and the military intelligence. They need immediate help from International Champions of Human Rights and help of Baloch Diaspora to be their voice on International forums to tell the world about their plight and the plight of entire Baloch Nation.
